Big-eye Jacks (Caranx sexfasciatus)-B & W image
[2045]
Gallery quality underwater photographic print by Paul Waldeck, available framed or unframed in several sizes. These aggressive predators (also called Trevally), gather in huge groups in areas where swift currents are likely to bring smaller fish within range. Big Eye Jacks use schooling behavior as protection against larger predators-primarily tuna, barracuda and sharks.

This black and white image of a few fish from the larger school was taken at Barracuda Point off Moburaka Island.

Photographed in the Solomon Islands
